It has been 13 months since the Olympic medalist returned to tennis after a 15-month doping ban.
Maria was banned from competing after being found with meldonium in her system at the 2016 Australian Open.
The statuesque star was suspended from the sport in March last year while officials carried out an investigation and received her formal ban in June.
Officials initially banned Maria for two years but the punishment was reduced to 15 months after the Court of Arbitration for Sport recognized that her doping was unintentional.

The award-winning beauty is still trying to move back up the rankings from her current position.
In October, she was beaten by Magdalena Rybarikova 7-6 (3), 6-4 in the first round of the Kremlin Cup which ended her bid for a second title in two weeks.
Maria was set to play against tennis ace Serena Williams during this year’s French Open, but the mother-of-one was forced to withdraw from the match following a right pectoral injury.
The blonde star – who has beaten the Michigan native only twice in their 21 meetings – recently spoke out about competing against the pro, stating: ‘You know, despite the record that I have against her, I always look forward to coming out on the court and competing against the best player.’
