Former five-time Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova has announced that she has become a partner and an investor in a platform called “Public.” Sharapova, a former world No. 1, enjoyed a successful tennis career and now she is focused on growing her businesses and investing in businesses in which she sees a potential.
“This is a little announcement. It looks very formal as I sit here at the hotel desk to say that I have become a partner and investor in a platform called Public,” Sharapova announced. “For those of you that much about financial or investment space, it can seem incredibly intimidating, not very simple.
What I love about Public is how user-friendly and uncomplicated it really is”.
Sharapova thrilled to join the Public family
Sharapova added: “40% of the audience at Public, are female which in the space is unheard of.
If I may say so myself. 45% of the audience are people of color. I am incredibly proud to partner with a platform that represents such a diverse group and one of the main reasons I have invested. I will be doing a public live in December, so stay tuned for the date.
Can’t wait to see you there. Join me!” Sharapova, who retired from tennis in 2020 February, certainly has a knack for business. Sharapova’s company, Sugarpova, is doing extremely well as it earns around $20 million annually.
Recently, Sharapova opened about heartbroken over the scenes from Ukraine and announced she would be supporting the Save the Children’s crisis relief fund. “With each day that goes by, I am more and more heartbroken and deeply saddened by the images and stories of families and children affected by this escalating crisis in Ukraine.
I am donating to Save the Children’s crisis relief fund, an organization working tirelessly to provide food, water, and aid kits to support those in need. Please join me in making a donation. I pray for PEACE and send my love and support to all those affected. Link in my bio to donate,” Sharapova announced in an Instagram post in early March.
