Roger Federer is gearing up to step onto the world stage during the 2016 Australian Open this month.
But on Saturday, it was his children that stole the spotlight after one of Roger and his wife Mirka’s toddler son erupted into tears during the Australian Open Kids Tennis day at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena.
Mirka, 37, and her children were sitting in the audience as they watched a child-friendly show in which a variety of tennis stars, including Roger,34, posed and performed with large Mutant Ninja Turtles mascots.

However, despite the little girl’s best efforts, it became evident that only a mother’s touch would be able to calm him down, with Mirka scooping up the boy and cradling him and kissing his cheek.
Meanwhile, Swiss-born Roger seemed to be having fun at the relaxed event, posing on stage in silly positions next to Denmark tennis player Caroline Wozniacki, Canada’s Milos Raonic, Australia’s Lleyton Hewitt, Serbia’s Novak Djokovic and Belarus’ Victoria Azarenk.

Roger and Mirka are parents to two sets of identical twins: six-year-old girls Charlene and Myla and two-year-old boys Lenny and Leo.
Chestnut-haired beauty Mirka attended the low-key event clad in a pair of printed leggings matched with a simple black skivvy.
Draped around her neck was a silver pendant necklace that perfectly matched her delicate bracelets and stud earrings.
