ROGER FEDERER, who lost against Novak Djokovic in the Men’s Single final at Wimbledon 2019 yesterday, has spoken out on how his wife Mirka Federer helps him at his matches.

Wimbledon runner-up Roger Federer, 37, lost out to Novak Djokovic, 36 in the Men’s Single final yesterday in an epic match, but ahead of his loss he insisted his wife Mirka, 41, is his greatest support. Speaking at a press conference, he said: “I am glad Mirka is around, nothing would happen without her.” He added: “Mirka has to take care of her voice. That’s why she is only shouting when it’s quiet during my matches.

Roger and Mirka, a former tennis player, tied the knot back in 2009, after meeting at the Summer Olympics in 2000.
Despite her support and knowledge of tennis, Roger went on to say the pair don’t discuss the sport.
“It is difficult to say that I don’t talk to Mirka about tennis,” he added.

Mirka appeared tense at various moments during the game, which was later won by Novak after a record-long final.
At one point, Mirka was seen clasping her hands together looking worried for her spouse.
The former tennis star was pictured at the end of the game alongside the pair’s four children.
The pair welcomed their first set of identical twins named Myla and Charlene Federer in 2009.
Five years ago, the couple had another set of twins, this time two sons named Lenny and Leo Federer.
